Throughout my life, I've come to realize the profound impact of service and community engagement, learning acts of kindness can truly make a difference and foster positive change in the world.
Boarding the flight to Uganda was a moment filled with urgency and purpose. As I settled into my seat, my mind raced with thoughts of the children awaiting their reunion with their mother, a fellow Rotary Club member who had been separated from them for far too long due to bureaucratic hurdles in her asylum process in the U.S. She had sacrificed so much as a healthcare worker treating people with AIDS in Uganda, and unfortunately needed to seek refuge here. The anticipation of bringing a family back together was both a heavy responsibility and a profound privilege.
Upon landing, the excitement was palpable. Meeting the children for the first time, their faces lit up with recognition from our previous video calls. Handing them their Patriots jerseys, we were all smiling ear to ear. It was a poignant reminder of why acts of service, no matter the scale, are so impactful. Back in Needham, I continue supporting the family, helping them navigate the educational system and integrate into the community. It was an incredible experience to be a part of, reminding me what matters most in life.
Service has been a defining part of my life for as long as I can remember. My drive to serve stems from a childhood shaped by my parents' example. Active in various church communities, they instilled in me the values of community service and engagement. They showed me that making a difference starts with showing up and committing to the well-being of others, a lesson that has stayed with me throughout my life.
Through my roles with the Rotary Club, serving as President twice, and as an elected Town Meeting Member, I've been able to effect change and provide support where it's most needed, championing projects that enhance our community.
This foundational belief in service seamlessly integrates into my real estate career. I approach each client relationship with the same dedication, striving to understand their unique needs and dreams. Real estate, for me, is deeply personal—it’s about helping people find a place where they can build their lives and become part of a community.
Because I have been so involved in the community, I know exactly what is happening and how it may impact my clients. Additionally, my experience moving and settling in new areas throughout the years, from our first cozy apartment in Jamaica Plain to our family homes in Wellesley and Needham, have deepened my empathy and expertise, enriching the advice I offer my clients.

Each role I undertake, whether helping a family reunite, participating in town governance or assisting a client in finding their perfect home, is driven by a desire to make a meaningful difference—one life at a time. Through acts of service, I not only want to contribute to my community but also fulfill a personal mission to spread kindness and support wherever possible.
As empty nesters, my wife, Julia, and I are very proud of our daughters. Julia is a doctor, and our daughters followed in her footsteps, pursuing advanced degrees. Katie, our oldest, is working on her Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Sarah earned her Master’s in Marine Biology and currently works at The Nature Conservancy in Rhode Island, and our youngest, Ellen, is in vet school at Tufts University. When we get the chance, Julia and I love to travel all over the world, checking off birds on our bird-watching list as we explore new areas!
